Moving in West Ashley: what to know before you pack
West Ashley is the biggest stretch of neighborhoods in Charleston and one of the most varied: mid-century houses in Avondale and Byrnes Downs, apartments along Savannah Highway, and newer subdivisions out toward Carolina Bay and Shadowmoss. First-time buyers land here a lot, often moving out of an apartment downtown or in North Charleston.
Apartment to first house is the classic tote move. You do not own a garage full of old boxes yet, and you do not need to start collecting them.
West Ashley is part of our Charleston service area, Charleston County.
