Tote rental terms

Here's how a Boxtrot rental works, in plain words. You'll see these same terms on your quote before you sign. If anything here and your signed agreement ever differ, your signed agreement is what counts.
Rental length
- Every package is a 7 day rental. Totes are due back by 10:00 PM on day 7.
- Need more time? Extra weeks are 60% off the base package price. Just ask before day 7.
Late returns
- If pickup slides to day 8, there's a $40 flat late fee.
- Past day 8, you're charged for a full extra rental week.
Damage and cleaning
- Normal wear is on us. Damage beyond normal wear is $5 per tote and $5 per lid.
- If a moving company you hired damages the totes, that's on them.
- If totes come back with a drug or biowaste odor, cleaning is up to $100.
Refunds and cancellations
- No refunds for totes you didn't use.
- If your move is canceled after the totes are delivered, you get 75% back. The other 25% covers the trip and handling.
Payment
- Your quote shows what's due to reserve your dates and what's due at drop off.
- If you pay cash, you pay at drop off. There's nothing to pay online.
- When you pay by card, you authorize Boxtrot to charge that card for fees covered in these terms, like late fees, extra weeks, or damage.
The fine print
- You need to be at least 17 years old to sign a rental.
- These terms follow South Carolina law.
